In 1995, Cleo the cat was mourning the loss of her litter. Her partner, Milo, sensing her heartbreak, brought two baby bunnies home from the woods. Cleo’s maternal instincts immediately took over, and she embraced the bunnies as her own.

The newly formed family quickly became inseparable. Cleo nursed, cleaned, and cared for the bunnies, while Milo lovingly groomed Cleo in return.

Their owners welcomed the unusual addition, remarking, “I wanted kittens, but they’ll do. They’re cute.”
