OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha police are investigating a shooting.

The incident happened near 42nd Street and Bedford Avenue around 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Police said a man was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Officers in the area heard the gunfire and responded, giving the victim medical aid.

The investigation is still ongoing.
