BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A second suspect has been arrested on capital murder charges in a Smithfield neighborhood homicide investigation .

Quenton Christian Washington, 20, is charged with capital murder in the death of Quindarius Allen and attempted murder in the injury of a second victim.

That incident happened on Aug. 12, 2025, in the 900 block of 5th Avenue North.

Previously, 20-year-old Dorian Talley was arrested for capital murder in the shooting death of Allen. He is also facing charges of attempted murder and hindering prosecution.

Washington and Talley are being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
