Yankees star slugger Jazz Chisholm Jr. has played a vital role for the team this season. Chisholm is undoubtedly an important player, both offensively and defensively. Chisholm, who was involved in a controversial strike call yesterday, was forced to exit a critical game against the Houston Astros last night.

During the fourth inning, Chisholm struck out and never came back on the field. Manager Aaron Boone brought in Jose Caballero to take on Chisholm’s spot. It turns out that Chisholm struggled with a contusion in both his knees while nabbing Jose Altuve at second base in the third inning.

It seemed that Altuve’s helmet collided with Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s knee. His second collision took place when Ramon Urias’s grounder hit him hard.
