Police have arrested and charged a man after a Leamington flat fire at the weekend. Tomasz Kuzma is in custody following a blaze at Ashton Court on Saturday evening.

Fire crews managed to keep the flames contained and luckily no one was hurt. Kuzma, who was charged on a series of offences, will appear at a hearing later this month.

A spokesman for Leamington Police said: "A man has been charged and remanded into custody after an incident at Ashton Court on the evening of Saturday 30th August 2025.

"We were alerted to a fire within the flats at Ashton Court by our colleagues at Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service which was extinguished quickly. A short time later Tomasz Kuzma was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
