A health expert has issued a warning to smartphone users to stop endlessly scrolling on their phone while they're on the toilet. It is something many of us are guilty of as we take a bit of 'me time' in the privacy of the bathroom. ‌

Whether it's watching video after video on TikTok , trying to crack the day's Wordle challenge, or playing a favourite game, spending a few extra minutes on the toilet can seem like a good time to do that. ‌

But a recent study has issued a serious health warning for those that spend to long on the loo. Using a smartphone while on the toilet was linked to a worrying 46 per cent increased risk of having haemorrhoids. ‌
