SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - It will be a hot and humid Friday with a cold front bringing an increasing chance of thunderstorms this evening through tonight. The heat will leave us this weekend, but the rain will be sticking around on Saturday.
The weather machine is already at work this morning, as a breezy south wind early in the day will draw in very humid and warm air. Temperatures will be near 70 degrees at sunrise, but quickly warm into the low to mid 90s this afternoon, with a heat index above 100 degrees.
Our cold front will be arriving in areas near and north of I-30 in northeast Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. The cooler air aloft will clash with the warm and humid air at the surface, and a few supercell thunderstorms may develop. A storm or two could b
