SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Another, much faster-moving, cold front arrives this evening.

TODAY’S FORECAST

Sunny with ground smoke. Breezy with gusts up to 30mph. A cold front will arrive late in the day with a chance of thunderstorms, some of which could be strong.

There’s a Marginal Risk (1 out of 5) for severe storms in northern Siouxland in the early evening hours, with the threat being wind gusts up to 60mph.

So, a low-end chance. The storms should pass through the area quickly, generally done by 10pm.

TONIGHT’S FORECAST

Smoke clears out with the cold front passage. Mostly clear and cool with below average temperatures. Overnight lows int he upper 40s. Northwesterly winds 15 to 25 mph but slowly calming throughout the night.
