Former Boston city councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson will be sentenced today, several months after she pleaded guilty to federal corruption charges tied to a kickback scheme.

Prosecutors are seeking a sentence of one year and one day in prison, followed by three years of supervised release and restitution in the amount of $13,000. Her public defender, meanwhile, is asking for probation and community service.

Fernandes Anderson, who was arrested and indicted last December , pleaded guilty on May 5 to one count of wire fraud and one count of theft concerning a program receiving federal funds.
