Spirit Airlines has announced it will discontinue service to 12 U.S. cities beginning the week of October 2, as the ultra‑low‑cost carrier restructures its network amid renewed financial distress.

What To Know

Spirit said it will exit the following markets on October 2, 2025: Albuquerque, New Mexico; Birmingham, Alabama; Boise, Idaho; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Oakland, California; Columbia, South Carolina; Portland, Oregon; Sacramento, California; Salt Lake City, Utah; San Diego, California; and San Jose, California. The airline also canceled plans to launch service in Macon, Georgia, which was set to start on October 16.
