SUPERIOR — A Superior woman accused of stabbing a man with a chisel made her initial appearance in Douglas County Circuit Court Wednesday, Sept. 3.

Dana Louise Wood, 38, was arrested Saturday, Aug. 30. Superior police officers responded to the 1600 block of Oakes Avenue at 9:14 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. They located a Michigan man suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to a news release from Superior Police Chief Paul Winterscheidt.

According to the criminal complaint, the man who was stabbed had stopped to visit with Wood and her boyfriend, who were drinking vodka in her yard.

The man told police Wood stabbed him with a chisel. He then threw her to the ground, according to the criminal complaint. He said Wood then started trying to treat his injuries.
