The WLOX First Alert Weather Team is monitoring a tropical wave called Invest 91L. According to the National Hurricane Center it is located in the eastern Atlantic and has a high chance for development by this weekend.

Some of the latest computer model trends are showing more uncertainty on whether 91L will actually survive its trek through the Atlantic toward the Lesser Antilles. There are different scenarios regarding how strong it will get and how far west it will go.

For now, it is too early to say if this will impact the Gulf Coast. If it does present a threat, it would not be before September’s second weekend.
