BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol is reporting a fatal car accident in Emmons County, North Dakota.

On September 4, at approximately 7 p.m., a 50-year-old male driving a Pontiac Montana struck a tree.

The man was traveling southbound on 1st Avenue SE and failed to make a turn at the intersection with 61st Street and entered a ditch.

The NDHP reports the driver died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
