After a week of temperatures in the upper 40s across the UP and mid 80s farther south, Michigan's Great Lakes and inland waters are starting to cool as fall approaches, according to recorded temperatures across the region.

Lake Erie is the warmest of the Great Lakes with temperature in the 70s, which is colder than last week . Lake Superior, the coldest of the Great Lakes, is still seeing temperatures range up to the 60s in some places.
Michigan's inland lakes are generally warmer. Lake Hudson, in southern Michigan, reached 71 degrees on Sep. 5.
