ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A man is in critical condition after hitting a semi while driving an ATV in Rockford on Thursday night.

According to the Rockford Police Department, the unidentified rider collided with the semi at 22nd Street and Laude Drive.

Further details are unknown at this time.

ATVs are illegal to use on Rockford streets.

Police are offering a $200 reward for tips that lead to an arrest or confiscation of ATVs or off-road vehicles that have been used on city streets.
