BOWDOINHAM, Maine (WAMTW) - The superintendent of Maine School Administrative District No. 75 (MSAD 75) says an hourslong lockdown at the Bowdoinham Community School has been lifted after two juveniles connected to a nearby burglary were taken into custody.

Sagadahoc County Sheriff Joel Merry said the burglary was reported shortly after 7:10 a.m. Friday on Post Road in Bowdoinham.

In a notice sent to parents at about 8:20 a.m., MSAD 75 Superintendent Heidi O’Leary said the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office asked the Bowdoinham Community School to go into lockdown Friday morning due to a nearby situation on Post Road. Bowdoinham Community School staff members were also told to go to the middle school.
