ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Students across metro Atlanta are preparing to walk out of class on Friday as part of a statewide and national movement calling for action on gun violence.

The walkouts come in response to last week’s shooting at a Catholic school in Minnesota, where two students were killed and more than a dozen others were injured. The walkouts have also become an annual event. Students want state and federal lawmakers to notice and make changes to curb school shootings.
