Matt Cohen is heading to The Young and The Restless !

On Friday (September 5), it was revealed that the 42-year-old actor, best known playing young John Winchester and the archangel Michael in Supernatural , has been cast to play Detective Burrow on the long-running CBS soap opera.

According to Entertainment Weekly , Matt ‘s character will be investigating a major case featuring many of Y&R ‘s main characters. Further plot details are being kept under wraps.

Matt began filming last week and his first episode is scheduled to air on Thursday, October 16.

The actor is no stranger to the world of soap operas. He previously played Griffin Munro on General Hospital from 2016 until 2019.
