LOGAN — The Cache County Walk to End Alzheimer’s is set for Saturday to raise money and awareness for the disease.

The event, one of seven walks held by the Alzheimer’s Association of Utah, will take place at Merlin Olsen Park in Logan. Registration begins at 10 a.m.

Organizers have set a goal of raising $23,000 to provide essential services to families affected by the disease and to fund research. The seven Utah walks have a collective fundraising goal of $570,000.

Alzheimer’s is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States, and the Alzheimer’s Association is the world's leading non-profit funder of Alzheimer's research.
