MONROE — Led by 15 assists, six aces and six digs by freshman setter Naia Atalig, the Bearcats swept Cedarcrest. Shanara Peebles and Faith Fodge added six kills apiece.

Granite Falls 3, Darrington 1

DARRINGTON — Granite Falls opened the season with a win despite 21 assists from Darrington’s Ava Pater and 15 digs by Avery Brown. Individual statistics were not reported for Granite Falls.

Bellevue 3, Snohomish 0

SNOHOMISH — Sawyer Mahler (six kills, eight digs) and Maggie Cavanaugh (10 assists, six digs) led the way for the Panthers, who fell to 1-1.
