A picturesque stretch of downtown Cortland, New York just had its big Hollywood moment.

The Crown City’s newly renovated Main Street was transformed into a film set this summer, where crews wrapped filming on an upcoming sci-fi romance movie titled Trying to Seem , according to X101 .

The independent feature, produced by Waterloom Productions out of Portland, Maine, follows a young woman from the future who discovers human emotion after falling in love.

City officials said the story explores the relationship between technology and humanity — with Cortland’s small-town charm as its backdrop.

The filming took place between July 31st and August 15th , with scenes shot around Tompkins Street between Main Street and Reynolds Avenue , as well as 41 Tompkins St. , a grand ma
