DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- A Greenville High School staff member has resigned after allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Greenville Police began to investigate after being notified of the allegation on Sept. 4.

Justin Travis, 39, was arrested and booked on sexual battery, a second-degree felony. Additional charges are under review by the Darke County Prosecutor's Office.

Travis has resigned from his position at the school as of Friday, Sept. 5.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with pertinent information is asked to call investigators at 937-548-1103.
