There won’t be any quit in the Charlevoix boys soccer team this fall season.
Certainly not from Charles Kelly.
That would be proven true by the Rayders in their matchup with Boyne City earlier this week, when a 2-0 deficit turned into a 3-2 Charlevoix victory.
The win was a third straight by Charlevoix, with Kelly delivering his second hat-trick over those last three games.
Kelly scored assisted by Ric Reed, then from Josh Montalvo with three minutes left. He then notched the game-winner on a steal and unassisted play made following the ensuing kickoff at midfield.
“It was a fast paced game, with many physical challenges by both teams,” Charlevoix coach Jon Boss said.
On Thursday, the Rayders did take a loss when meeting defending league champion Grayling, falling 3-2. Collin Mulaney
