SHREVEPORT, La. - The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana held its Empty Bowls event Thursday night at Bally’s Shreveport Casino and Hotel Grand Ballroom. The event is the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana’s largest hunger awareness campaign and it raised more than $100,000. Guests enjoyed a simple meal and an auction, featuring hand-painted ceramic bowls, goods, and services, taking home a bowl as a lasting reminder of the empty bowls in our community. KTBS 3 Community Projects Director Jan Elkins was the MC. For more information about the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana, call us at (318) 675-2400, ext. 123.
