EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Max Grossman, the leading voice of opposition against a Downtown arena, has been arrested, according to jail records obtained by KTSM.
According to jail records, Grossman was booked into the El Paso County Detention Center on Friday, Sept. 5 on the charge of assault causing bodily injury/family violence.
Jail records show the attorney representing him is Brian Kennedy. We have reached out to Kennedy for comment and are waiting to hear back.
Grossman is currently an associate professor of art history at UTEP. We have reached out to UTEP for comment.
For years, Grossman led opposition against a Downtown arena being built in the Duranguito neighborhood.
