SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - One of the six suspects involved in July’s Oglethorpe Mall shooting has been indicted by a federal grand jury, the US Attorney’s Office announced today in a press release.
Aujawan Hymon (20) of Savannah, Georgia was indicted by a federal grand jury this week for Illegal Possession of a Machinegun.
Hymon was one of the two Oglethorpe Mall shooting suspects who appeared in court earlier this week .
According to the press release, investigations revealed Hymon was in possession of a firearm with an extended magazine and an affixed machinegun conversion device during the shooting.
The release also states that officers were able to successfully recover the machinegun during the investigation.
