A HIGH school in California has been forced to forfeit an entire football season.
Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, California announced it was suspending the campaign.
The forfeiture was due to "an internal investigation in coordination with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Department of Catholic Schools."
SFGate said that the school self-reported after allegations over illegal transfers.
It was claimed this week that an infamous high-school booster Brett Steigh helped with a number illegal transfers for players on the team.
The school completed more than 20 transfers this offseason.
The California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section ruled that five of them were ineligible.
