ACPL delays launch of parking system

The Allen County Public Library is pausing the launch of the new gateless parking system at the main library garage and adjacent surface lots.

A Thursday news release said the delay would provide additional time to ensure a smooth implementation that minimizes disruptions for the public.

The launch had also been pushed back to avoid affecting visitors downtown for the annual “Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown” program, which is Sunday.

The updated launch date for the new parking system will be shared once contracts are finalized and final preparations are in place, the library said Thursday.

In the meantime, access to parking at the main library garage is still available.
