LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (KCTV) - A former elementary school teacher in Leavenworth has been convicted of child sex crimes .

Jerome Riscovallez, 55, pleaded no contest to two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Other charges of criminal restraint and four counts of misdemeanor battery were dropped.

Riscovallez, a STEM teacher at Henry Leavenworth Elementary School, was fired by the Leavenworth Unified School District on Feb. 27, 2025.

Court documents had alleged that Riscovallez knowingly caused physical contact to children in a disrespectful way on multiple occasions from Aug. 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024.
