The Calgary Flames and Connor Zary’s stalemate appears to be over.

As reported by Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman , Zary and the Flames are close to signing a three-year deal worth “just under” $3.8 million per season.

A three-year deal being in the works was reported earlier this week by The Fourth Period’s David Pagnotta .

There had been reports earlier in the offseason that the player’s camp was gunning for a long-term contract, while the Flames were hoping to work out a bridge deal given the injuries Zary sustained this past season.
