New Mexico's troubled child welfare agency is undergoing another leadership shift.
After more than two years on the job, Teresa Casados has retired from her post as Cabinet secretary of the Children, Youth and Families Department, the Governor's Office announced Friday.
Casados, appointed to the position in 2023, was the agency's third secretary during Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham's administration. Her final day was Friday , marking the latest turn in what some have described as a "revolving door" in leadership at CYFD.
