Investigators say they found evidence inside a Bowie home that indicates that 19-year-old Dacara Thompson was killed in the bedroom of a 35-year-old man .

Prince George's County Police held a news conference Friday to announce that a body they had found in a field the previous weekend was in fact Thompson, and that evidence suggested she had been murdered.

The alleged killer, Hugo Hernandez-Mendez, is an immigrant from Guatemala who, according to officials, was in the country illegally. Officials say he was arrested by U.S. Park Police police in April for a DUI case but was released by federal officials.
