A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Friday at 5:41 a.m. for dense fog until 9 a.m. for Southern Wayne as well as Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne and Pike counties.

"Locally dense fog has developed this morning, especially at the higher elevations, which is reducing visibility to one half mile or less in some spots. If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave extra distance ahead of you," states the weather service.
