TIJERAS, N.M. (KRQE) – A suspected wrong-way drunk driver almost ran head-on into a Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office deputy and had an interesting story for deputies on why he was driving so recklessly. It was 2 a.m. on August 19 on Highway 333 in Tijeras. A Bernalillo County deputy saw headlights heading straight for him and veered away from his patrol vehicle.
