KEWANEE, Ill. (KWQC) - A 20-year-old Kewanee man was charged after two cars were burglarized in late August.

Kewanee police officers went to the 700 block of South Tremont Avenue for a report of a suspicious person on Aug. 24, according to a media release.

Officials said when officers arrived, they found 20-year-old Natanael Camacho, who was intoxicated.

Officers learned two cars had been burglarized. Camacho was linked to the burglaries, officials said.

During the investigation, police said Camacho was found in possession of:

Stolen property

$500 in cash

Multiple THC vapes

Several pills officers believed to be a controlled substance

448 grams of cannabis

Drug packaging material
