SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WFSB) - An overpass in Southington on I-84 is now dedicated to fallen Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier.
The state renamed the bridge to honor the legacy he left behind when he was killed in the line of duty in May of 2024.
The sign now sits on both sides of the overpass on Jude Lane to commemorate the fallen trooper.
His wife and two young songs were the ones who unveiled the plaque at today’s ceremony.
The bridge dedication ceremony was put on by Connecticut State Police and the Department of Transportation.
There was a large showing of friends and family, as well as a number of law enforcement members.
Trooper First Class Pelletier was killed while conducting a traffic stop on I-84 in Southington on May 30th 2024.
