SHREVEPORT, La. -- “Having a bunch of National Guard that don’t have municipal experience just walking around with a bunch of guns — that’s not what you want.”
Those were the thoughts of state Rep. Ed Larvadain, a Democrat from District-26 in the Alexandria area. He attended a post-legislative town hall Thursday night in Shreveport hosted by the Legislative Black Caucus.
Also attending the town hall were these Democrats: Rep. Tammy Phelps, District 3; Sen. Sam Jenkins District 39; Rep. Steven Jackson, District 2; and Rep. Joy Walters, District 4.
They were there to meet with constituents about the last legislative session, discussing things like insurance reforms and pharmacies vs. PBM’S (pharmacy benefits managers).
