CLOVIS, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — The Clovis Police Department is searching for suspects in a Monday morning shooting that was alleged to have taken place in the 1900 block of West 9th Street.

According to Clovis PD, on Monday at 2:39 a.m., dispatch received multiple 911 calls regarding shots fired and a call from a resident in the 1900 block of West 9th Street who reported his truck had been shot. Officers arrived on scene and found one person's vehicle and home had been struck by gunfire.

CPD Detectives were dispatched to the scene and found through an investigation that Jerimiah Bayless, 19, may be suspected in the shooting. Search warrants were served at Bayless’ home where police said they seized multiple weapons, including a pistol that had a “switch.”
