It looks like a bit of a pattern shift is on the way for us here in the Evansville area. We're keeping a close eye on an incoming cold front that's expected to trigger showers and thunderstorms through tonight, and we'll be monitoring closely as these linger into early Saturday morning.

After the front passes, however, we are forecasting a really nice change. Behind that system, we expect a stretch of pleasant, cool, and dry weather starting this weekend and continuing into early next week, with high temperatures comfortably in the 70s.

This is quite a bit cooler than what we've seen recently, offering a nice break. Looking further out, a mid-to-late week warmup is expected to bring temperatures back up, climbing into the 80s, and some spots could even flirt with 90 degrees by Thursday o
