DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released its final report on the fatal plane crash that occurred in western Kentucky in 2023.

Just before 11 p.m. on September 27, 2023, a pilot and a flight student were flying in a plane when they crashed in the area of Whitesville.

After extensive search and recovery efforts, authorities found the two crash victims dead and identified them as 22-year-old Pilot Timothy A. McKellar Jr. of Custer, and 18-year-old flight student Connor W. Quisenberry of Beaver Dam.
