PALESTINE, Texas (KLTV) - A night of dazzling fun is planned to help raise money for BARC, Anderson County Humane Society.

Christal Rowe, a board member of BARC spoke with East Texas Now about their upcoming Pet Gala on Sept. 13 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the KC Hall in Palestine.

Dinner, dancing, a DJ, photo booth, silent auction and live auction are all planned, Rowe said. The party’s theme is a play on the Met Gala, and the humane society is even bringing the paparazzi — The Puppy Paparazzi; puppies will be there for people to see.

Tickets are available on the humane society’s website, in person at the shelter from noon to 4 p.m. or at either the Palestine Chamber of Commerce or Pint and Barrel Drafthouse in Palestine.

“It’s just a night that we really are looking forward to,” Rowe said.
