PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola nonprofit will be hosting the second Suicide Prevention & Awareness Walk in the city in September.

According to a Trauma Release Invest Inc. news release, they will be hosting the event at Museum Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 13.

The event is free, and members of the nonprofit hope to bring together community members to remember the lives lost to suicide and provide resources to people affected by the loss.

"This walk is more than a memorial, it's a movement," said TRI Inc. Founder Michelle Grant. "We're here to uncover the pain behind the smile, to provide resources, and to remind every person struggling that they are not alone."

The first walk was held in 2024 and had over 125 participants.
