WESTLAKE, Ohio – City Council, after meeting in a closed-door session on Sept. 4, authorized Mayor Dennis Clough to enter into a contract to sell just under two acres of land the city owns on Center Ridge Road west of Bradley Road.
“This is a piece of property that the city has owned for a number of years,” Clough said. “We’ve determined that there’s no real use that the city could make for that particular property.”
It’s too small for development as a park, the mayor said.
The city had the land appraised at about $400,000, and a couple of interested buyers submitted bids on the property. The highest bid came from a company identified in the legislation as KBHR 570 LLC. The price bid was $405,000, and the potential buyer wants to build residential homes on the property, according to the
