BISMARCK — Grand Forks Red River did just enough to beat Bismarck St. Mary's on Friday night.

The Roughriders escaped their first road matchup of the year with a 14-13 win over Bismarck St. Mary's.

With less than three minutes remaining in the game, Bismarck St. Mary's running back Beckett Price scored on a highlight-reel 58-yard run. On a play that started as a sweep to the left side, Price broke a number of tackles before zooming into the end zone along the right sideline.

However, Price was flagged for a 15-yard penalty for spiking the ball in the end zone.

So trailing 14-13, St. Mary's had to snap the extra point from the 18 instead of the 3. St. Mary's attempted a kick to tie the game that misfired.

"We don't tackle real well right now," Red River coach Vyrn Muir said of the Pric
