State police arrested a Butler Township man Friday after marijuana plants were found in his home following an investigation that began in April.

William R. Ringler, 53, was charged with felony counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver narcotics and prohibited possession of a firearm, and misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the county jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Troopers had been investigating numerous anonymous tips they received in April about drug activity at Ringler’s home at 124 N. Duffy Road when they pulled him over Friday after he left his home. He was in possession of narcotics during the stop, according to an affidavit.
