Carol Kirkwood has spoken candidly about her divorce heartbreak and confessed that it's "sad" when "relationships break down". The BBC Breakfast weather presenter, who trained with the Met Office, discussed relationships in a recent interview where she reflected on her previous marriage.

Carol , who wed police officer Steve Randall in 2021, was formerly married to property developer Jimmy Kirkwood. The pair divorced in 2008 following 18 years together.

She previously revealed that during this difficult period, she maintained her cheerful on-screen demeanour whilst presenting on television, though she needed to have a good cry away from the cameras.
