AMESBURY — LUNGSTRONG and its area restaurant partners raised over $6,500 from restaurant sales as part of their annual “Cheers to a Cure” campaign, which runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year.

"Amesbury and Newburyport restaurants promote a LUNGSTRONG specialty cocktail and donate a percentage of sales to lung cancer research,” says LUNGSTRONG volunteer and campaign coordinator Robin Schell. “Ristorante Molise started us off with a $2,000 donation in March from their St. Patrick’s Day dinner and Phat Cats Bistro added $1,270 with sales of their strawberry mint spritzer. Michael’s Harborside added another $1,000 donation with sales of their popular rum runner cocktail."
