COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Rev your engines! Hundreds of motorcyclists are going full throttle for a good cause!

The third annual El Mariachi Vicla Run returns to Colorado Springs Saturday, and with it, its critical mission of raising funds to help underprivileged students achieve their dreams.

“We wanted to do more than just celebrate our love for motorcycles,” event organizer Gene Sanchez told 11 News last year. “We saw a need in our community, especially among the youth, and we knew this was a way to give back and make a lasting impact.”

That impact has already been felt in the event’s short history, with nearly two dozen youth awarded scholarships in the first two years of the ride.
