COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - One person is dead after a Friday night traffic crash in Colorado Springs, police say.

According to the Colorado Police Department (CSPD), officers were notified of a traffic crash at 10:37 p.m. near US Highway 24 and 26th Street.

Police said the crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Officers, Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) responded and found that the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene. The pedestrian did not survive the crash.

Law enforcement eventually found the vehicle and its driver, identified as Cameron Walsh. According to police, alcohol was a factor in this incident.
