Story and Photos by Gordon Snyder
On these warm summer days, Charlie and I head out later in the afternoon. But today the sky was different... Wildfires have filled the air with smoke.
With the smoke filtering the sunlight, we got an Extra Golden Golden Hour for our walk. These Yellow Coneflowers are bathing in this golden light.
Notice the lighting on the leaves. Nice touch, don’t you think? But it is from the wildfire smoke.
When you check the setting sun, you can see the smoke has blurred the sun and left an extra golden glow.
This shows how wildfires from miles away affect all of us. Not just those in the immediate areas. We have at least another month of high fire dangers.
